Replenishment reminders: turn previous customers into repeat customers

Someone who bought a tub of protein will need another one. Browsables will estimate roughly when, remind them on WhatsApp at about the right time — optionally with a personal discount — and make reordering take a few taps.

How a reminder comes together

  1. 1

    Order

A customer orders a replenishable product, like a protein tub.

  2. 2

    Consumption period

Browsables estimates roughly how long the product will last.

  3. 3

    Reminder

Around that time, a WhatsApp reminder can go out — with an optional coupon.

  4. 4

    Reorder

The customer comes back to your store and orders again.

An estimate, not a prediction. Browsables does not know when a customer’s product actually runs out. People miss days, double up, share with family or buy from somewhere else. The reminder is timed to arrive at about the right moment — useful for most customers, but never exact.

Why repeat customers matter

Winning a new customer usually means paying for ads. A customer who already bought from you knows your store and trusts it — a timely reminder costs a WhatsApp message. For stores selling consumables, a steady base of repeat buyers is often what makes the business predictable.

Reminders also help the customer: they hear from you before they run out, not after they have already bought elsewhere.

An optional personal offer

A reminder can carry a personal discount code for that customer, to give them a reason to reorder from you rather than anywhere else. You decide whether to include one and how generous it is.

The reminder links straight back to your storefront, where the customer can reorder in a few taps.

Sending reminders responsibly

  • Consent first. Reminders with offers are marketing. Send them only to customers who agreed to hear from you on WhatsApp — a phone number given at checkout is not consent on its own.
  • From your number. Reminders go out from your own WhatsApp Business account, and WhatsApp’s messaging charges apply to it.
  • Relevant, not frequent. One well-timed reminder per purchase is more welcome than regular promotions.

Frequently asked questions

Does Browsables know exactly when a customer runs out?

No. The reminder date is an estimate based on the product’s servings and typical daily use. People skip days, share products or buy elsewhere, so the aim is a reminder at about the right time — not an exact prediction.

Which products is this for?

Products that get used up and bought again: supplements, protein, vitamins, and other consumables such as coffee, skincare or pet food. It makes little sense for one-off purchases.

Can I send reminders to every past customer?

Only to customers who have agreed to receive marketing messages from you on WhatsApp. Entering a phone number at checkout is not, on its own, that consent.
