TikTok advertising
TikTok Pixel, Events API and catalog feed for your store
Measure what TikTok viewers do once they reach your Browsables store, send confirmed sales to TikTok from our servers, and keep your products available in TikTok Catalog Manager — with you deciding which products TikTok sees.
From a TikTok ad to a measured sale
Each step adds to the measurement TikTok uses to understand and optimise your campaigns.
-
1
TikTok ad
A viewer taps your ad on TikTok.
-
2
Store visit
They arrive at your Browsables storefront and start browsing.
-
3
Browser events
The TikTok Pixel reports product views, add-to-cart and checkout.
-
4
Order
The customer orders, and the order keeps its connection to the ad.
-
5
Conversion
When the order is delivered, the purchase goes to TikTok via the Events API.
Browser-side tracking
What is the TikTok Pixel?
The TikTok Pixel is TikTok’s measurement code. It runs in the shopper’s browser on your storefront and reports what people do after they come from your TikTok ads, so TikTok can measure results and find more people likely to take the same actions.
Add your pixel code in the Browsables dashboard and it loads on your store — no code to install.
Events sent from your store
- Page view — someone opens your store.
- ViewContent — they open a product.
- AddToCart — they add it to the cart.
- InitiateCheckout — they start the order.
Server-side tracking
What is the TikTok Events API?
The Events API lets a server report events to TikTok directly. It does not rely on the shopper’s browser, so it still works when browser tracking is blocked or the page was closed — and it can report things only your records know, like an order that has actually been delivered.
Browsables sends the purchase this way when the order is marked delivered, with the information TikTok needs to link the sale to the ad that led to it.
What TikTok receives for a sale
- The products bought and the order value in IQD — for products you have enabled for TikTok.
- Customer matching information, protected before it is sent as TikTok requires.
- Each sale is reported once, so it is not counted twice.
Product catalog
A product catalog feed for TikTok
TikTok Catalog Manager can import products from a feed link on a schedule. Browsables gives you that link, built from the products you already manage: names, descriptions, prices and sale prices, stock status, photos, brand and a link to each product in your store. Your catalog can then power TikTok catalog and shopping ad formats.
TikTok requires every catalog product to have a brand and a photo. Browsables takes care of the brand for you; products without a photo are left out until you add one.
Product-level control
You choose what TikTok receives
Each product has a TikTok switch, separate from its Meta switch. Turn it off and the product is excluded from TikTok pixel events, the server-side purchase and the TikTok catalog feed. A product can stay on Meta while being kept off TikTok.
TikTok’s advertising rules differ from other platforms, so this is useful for products you expect TikTok to restrict. It controls what you share; approval decisions remain TikTok’s.
Offline conversions
In-store sales count on TikTok too
People who see your TikTok ads often buy at your shop rather than online. Record those sales in Browsables and connect a TikTok Offline Event Set, and each one is sent to TikTok as an offline purchase — kept apart from your website sales, so your reports stay clear.
TikTok matches each sale to its users by the customer’s phone number, protected before it is sent. Not every sale can be matched, and how results are credited is decided by TikTok.
Website and in-store, kept apart
- Website orders go to your TikTok Pixel.
- In-store sales go to your Offline Event Set.
- Your per-product TikTok switches apply to both.
What you need to connect
- A TikTok Ads Manager account with a pixel in Events Manager.
- Your pixel and Events API details from TikTok Events Manager, entered once in your Browsables dashboard.
- The TikTok catalog feed link from your dashboard, added as a data feed in Catalog Manager.
- Optional: a TikTok Offline Event Set, to receive your in-store sales.
- The Growth plan on your store.
Browsables provides the measurement infrastructure and the controls. Campaign results, ad review and policy enforcement are TikTok’s, and your ad spend is billed by TikTok separately from your subscription.
Frequently asked questions
Will the TikTok integration improve my campaign results?
Browsables gives TikTok complete, accurate signals and an up-to-date catalog, which is the foundation TikTok’s optimisation relies on. Results still depend on your creative, offer, audience, budget and TikTok’s delivery, so no outcome is guaranteed.
Which purchase event is sent to TikTok?
A purchase, using TikTok’s standard purchase event, sent from our servers when your team marks the order as delivered.
What if TikTok is likely to reject some of my products?
Switch TikTok off for those products. They will be left out of TikTok pixel events, the server-side purchase and the TikTok catalog feed, while staying on Meta if you want. Whether an ad or product is approved is still decided by TikTok under its policies.
Can TikTok receive sales from my physical shop?
Yes. Record the sale in the Browsables dashboard with the customer’s name and phone, and connect a TikTok Offline Event Set in your TikTok settings. On the Growth plan, each in-store sale is then sent to TikTok as an offline purchase, separate from your website sales.
Can I test the events before running ads?
Yes. Add the test event code from TikTok Events Manager in your dashboard; server events then show up in TikTok’s test view. Remove it when you are done.
